The rural sector of Pakistan is yet to fully benefit from the riches of knowledge and Namal is determined to achieve this. The launch of a disease diagnosis system by Namal is an effort to bridge this gap between technology and the rural sector. It uses artificial intelligence for disease diagnosis in livestock. At present, the project focuses on four types of livestock (cows, buffaloes, goats and sheep) and is designed to run as an independent application on computers and android based mobile phones. Upon entering symptoms through a user-friendly interface, farmers will be able to know the potential disease(s) that inflicts their livestock.
