When Ms. Janne Teller first visited Namal Institute, Mianwali in March 2018 she was fascinated by the idea of a knowledge hub in a rural locality. Her third visit to the institute coincided with new developments which helped her see how this knowledge city of the future will take shape. During her third visit, Ms. Teller met senior faculty members of Namal Institute along with the institute’s administration.
Originally hailing from Denmark, Ms. Janne Teller is a renowned novelist and writer who has won international acclaim for her published works. She has been a vocal critic of human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). As a result of her work, she was awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
